Mark Harris now is the County Service Officer for Putnam County, Tennessee. Mark has helped many Veterans achieve their claims through the Veterans Administration. With Mark’s hard work he has managed to bring into Putnam County appx 36 million dollars from the Veterans. This is VA’s stats which include retirement, education, widowers and orphans, health and disability pensions related to wars.

Mark Harris grew up in the military. His father retired from the Air Force and was only natural that at the age of 17 he would join the Air Force too while Vietnam was winding down. His 30year career was in fighter aircraft maintenance field. He crewed T-37B, F-5E, F-4C, RF-4C, F-16,and A-10 aircraft while assigned in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, North Carolina, Korea, andEngland. His deployments include support in Operations El Diablo Canyon air strike on Libya,Operation Desert Shield & Storm – Saudi Arabia, Operation Vigilant Warrior – Saudi Arabia,Operation Allied Force – Bosnia & Herzeqovina. His many awards include the Bronze Star,Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, and Commendation Medal with one oakleaf cluster to name a few
Since retiring from the Air Force, Mark has continued to serve veterans as an imaging technologist with the VA hospitals in Murfreesboro and Nashville. With his qualifications and continued zeal to serve veterans, Mark was selected as the Putnam County Veteran ServiceOfficer and is certified with the Tennessee Department of Veteran Services, American Legion,and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is a Life member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 117, Cookeville
